Surface Treatment Technology We are capable of applying various types of surface treatments so as to handle tablets with many different characteristics. The finish of the surface treatment is greatly affected by the base treatment. We are capable of providing a near mirror finish using a special mirror finish technique unique to NANNO.

Ceramic coating

The application of ceramic coating resolves the tableting issues that conventional hard chrome plating could not resolve. Ceramic coating particularly excels in wear resistance and releasability. We offer different types of coatings for various functions.

High strength coating T2000

Features Hv3200 (film thickness 3-4μ)
This has higher coating hardness and better releasability compared to N2000.
Very effective for tableting substances such as magnesium oxide with high wear resistance.
Treatment temperature 450℃

Features Hv3000 (film thickness 3-4μ)
Offers releasability equivalent to that of CrN, while having higher coating hardness. Very effective for tableting substances such as magnesium oxide with high wear resistance.

Chrome nitride CrN

Color Silver white
Features Hv1800 - 2000 (film thickness 3-4μ)
Two method types of HCDII and ARC.
The different methods used to generate the coating offer unique characteristics.
Treatment temperature 450℃
■HCDⅡNew Method
Hv1800 (film thickness 3-4μ)
By using a new evaporation coating method, the surface is very close to a mirror finish while maintaining same quality as the conventional method.
■ARC
Hv2000 (film thickness 3-4μ)
Compared with HCDII, higher wear resistance is achieved, while the surface condition is lower quality.

Hard chrome plating

This is a standard surface treatment. This treatment can be applied not only on the tip but also to the entire body. It is also effective for prevention of corrosion.

Standard surface treatment coating.
This can be applied to the entire punch and is also effective as corrosion protection.
Treatment temperature 50℃ - 70℃

Diamond coating

Effective wear resistance and anti-sticking performance can be obtained by applying a coating with very high hardness.

This has high coating hardness and wear resistance, offering great releasability for some tablet types. Very effective for tableting substances such as chemical products.
