Machining processing
At our affiliate New Heat, heat treatment is applied using a salt bath.
Optimal heat treatment conditions are implemented according to the shapes and sizes of various kinds of punches and dies.

Finishing process after heat treatment is applied.
Machining conditions most appropriate for the material and the size are achieved using various tools including a cylindrical grinding machine, flat surface grinding machine, NC lathe, cam grinding machine, etc.

Mirror surface processing of the tableting surface is applied.
Depending on the shape of the product, we use both manual lapping and a fluid jet polishing machine. After the finishing process is completed, we inspect the finish quality as well as dents, etc. using a microscope.

Surface treatment such as hard chrome plating or ceramic coating is applied.
We use some fixed conditions for the settings according to the quantity and the shape of the product so that whenever we process punches they are processed under the same conditions. By doing so, we can generate consistent and stable coating for a single lot, without any inconsistencies in the quality of surface treatment.

Our products are subject to 100% inspection.
We use a three dimensional measuring machine, profile measuring machine, micrometer, microscope, surface roughness measuring machine, etc. depending on what is to be measured in our efforts to assure product quality.

Inspection Report
Once the product quality is confirmed in the inspection process, the product is packaged in our special clear case and then packed in a carton.
The inspection report is also shipped along with the products, as quality assurance, so that our customers can use their MURAMASA products with peace of mind.
